A boutique exempt market firm since 2014.
Virtus Capital Management (VCMI), formerly STEVLOC Management Inc., is a boutique exempt market investment dealer that focuses on private market opportunities. At VCMI, we focus on helping our clients find suitable opportunities that put the client’s interest first. Our suitability determination requires the use of professional judgement to consider a client’s investment objectives, risk profile, investment knowledge and personal and financial circumstances. In addition to this we assess a client’s concentration of investments in relation to the risks, key features, and initial and ongoing fees associated with any investment product to ensure they meet the requirements for an opportunity. We strive to nurture a culture of trust, respect, teamwork, and accountability. At VCMI we practice a client first approach, and we aim to simplify a client’s journey in the private capital market space by educating and providing guidance.

meet the team
The primary focus of VCMI is to help clients create and protect wealth. Since 2014 we’ve been providing clients access to the private capital investments and educating them about the nature of investments found in the private markets. Private capital investments are available based on meeting a financial qualification threshold such as, an accredited or eligible investor. Some private market investments may have lower volatility and lower correlation to public markets. Private market investments are generally illiquid compared to public market investments and require a longer investment time horizon. Understanding a client’s investment objectives, risk profile, investment knowledge, personal and financial circumstances is key in determining a client’s suitability. In addition to this we assess the client’s concentration of investments in relation to the risks, key features, and initial and ongoing fees associated with any investment product helps us put the client’s interests first to ensure they are suitable for an opportunity.
